The Bill To Regulate Profession Of Agriculture Passes Second Reading
The House of Representatives has passed for second reading 'A Bill for an Act to Regulate the Profession of Agriculture and to make Provisions for the Establishment, Functions and Administration of Nigerian Institute of Agriculturists and for Other Related Matters (HB. 838). This scaled second reading on Thursday, June 8, 2017 following an extensive debate on the general principles of the Bill, led by its sponsors Honorable Mohammed Monguno and Munir Dan Agundi. 

They stated that the proposed Institute would help the Federal Government realize its plan to diversify the economy; adding that the quality of research that the Institute would churn out will serve as an essential tool for an Agricultural based economy. 


Meanwhile, with leave of the Speaker, the Majority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila moved a motion for the "Admittance into the Chamber pursuant to Order Nineteen, Rule 8 (1) of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives that they invite Guests for the Second Anniversary of the 8th House of Representatives, on Friday, 9 June, 2017, at 10.00 a.m.”
