SENATE RECONVENES SITTING, ADJOURNS TILL 12th MARCH

The Senate, on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 resumed plenary session after the Presidential and National Assembly elections break. The session was presided over by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

However, the sitting was cut short due to the fact that the Chamber could not form the necessary quorum that would allow for the continuation of legislative proceedings coupled with the need to continue with the electioneering campaigns for the gubernatorial elections billed for the 9th of March, 2019 at the State level.

All items on the Order Paper were therefore deferred to another legislative date while the Senate adjourned sitting to the 12th of March, 2019.
