HB. 1335 This Bill may be cited as the Rural Electrification Agency (Establishment) Bill, 2018;, EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM;, This Bill seeks to establish the rural electrification agency for the promotion, funding, management and regulation of rural electrification, this rural electrification agency as established under this bill is to exist as a statutory corporation and an autonomous agency that is independent of the Nigerian Electric Power Regulatory commission (NERC) and the rural electrification fund respectively as established under the Nigerian Electric Power Reform Act, 2005.
