SB. 567 This Bill may be cited as the Fire Service (Amendment) Bill, 2018;, EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM;, This Bill seeks to amend the Fire Service Act CAP F29 LFN to make provisions for the issuance of fire safety certificate by the Fire Commissioner after inspection of the building plan of a developer. The Bill further seeks to strengthen the penalties for the contravention or failure to comply with fire safety regulations.
