HOUSE HOLDS VALEDICTORY SESSION IN HONOUR OF LATE DEPUTY MAJORITY LEADER
The House of Representatives reconvened and adjourned plenary to pay their last respect to the late majority leader of the House, Hon. Buba Jubrin (Kogi) who passed away few days before the chambered resumed sitting after the Easter break. All legislative activities were suspended on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 as the Day was dedicated to a valedictory session for their late colleague. At the session the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara lamented that the 8th House of Representatives has indeed lost one its finest lawmaker and political stabilizer.

Several lawmakers took turns to pay tribute to the late Buba Jibrin describing him as man who played politics without bitterness. According to them, late Jibrin was bipartisan in his approach and a lover of the people; being a former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, he was reckoned to be among the political class in his State, yet was said to prefer making his tent among the masses, always sharing their pains and burdens.

Members observed one minute silence to mourn their departed colleague while a delegation was constituted to pay condolences to the family of the deceased.
