House Condemns Killing of Aid Workers by the Boko Haram Insurgents

The House of Representatives at its plenary session on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 called on the Federal Government to expedite action towards the release of captives of the Boko haram insurgents. The call came following a motion of urgent public importance moved by Hon. Chike Okafor.

In another development, the House has tasked the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to extend relief materials to victims of flood in the Ohaji/Egbema and Uguta Federal Constituency of Imo State. The directive came on the heel of a motion at the instance of Hon. Goodluck Opia who informed that the recent rise of rivers Benue and Niger led to flooding of some communities under his constituency and has left many displaced.
